MEET THE FOUNDER

AMY ELISE
MERCER

CREATIVE STRATEGY DIRECTOR & CO-FOUNDER

Search strategy, shaped by creative thinking.

Amy brings together search, content, brand and creative strategy, looking beyond individual channels to understand how they connect, and where the biggest opportunities for growth really are.

A DIFFERENT ROUTE INTO SEARCH

CREATIVE THINKING, COMMERCIAL STRATEGY.

Amy's route into search started with creativity. With a background in graphic design and illustration, followed by a Master's in Digital Marketing, she built her career at the point where creative thinking and commercial strategy meet.

That perspective has shaped everything since. From content and SEO to brand authority and influencer strategy, Amy has worked across the disciplines that influence how brands are discovered, understood and trusted.

It's also why she rarely looks at a search problem in isolation. The question isn't simply how to improve a ranking, but what people are searching for, what they find when they get there, what makes them choose a brand, and what will make that growth last.

RECOGNITION & PURPOSE

STRATEGY & LEADERSHIP

35 WOMEN UNDER 35

In 2025, Amy was named one of Management Today's 35 Women Under 35, recognising some of the UK's most promising young business leaders.

The recognition followed almost a decade spent building strategies across search, content, brand authority and influencer marketing, leading teams and developing new services along the way.

But Amy's strength has never been one particular discipline. It's seeing how they connect. She built her career bringing different parts of search and marketing together, spotting the opportunities between them and turning them into strategies that deliver commercially.

That same thinking now sits at the heart of her role at Lamproom, looking beyond individual channels to understand the bigger picture and build strategies around what a business actually needs.

BBC RADIO 1

BRINGING OPPORTUNITY HOME

Amy's appearances on BBC Radio 1's Life Hacks came as part of a panel focussed on helping young people see the opportunities available to them, particularly those who might feel certain careers are out of reach.

It's something that matters personally. Growing up in a working-class community in the North East shaped Amy's ambition, her values and the way she thinks about opportunity.

As Lamproom grows, so does her ambition to give something back to the communities that shaped and raised her, creating opportunities, sharing what she's learned and showing that successful careers in this industry don't have to start somewhere else.
